This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m., the Drama Department presents The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. Filled with twists and turns around every corner, this play will be a wonderful experience for everyone to enjoy.
Senior Ethan Hood plays the character Eddie McCuen, an out-of-work comedian who loves to crack jokes. Hood has been in plays all throughout his high school career, including last year's drama production, The Crucible. “The last play, The Crucible, was a very dark and heavy drama where I played a serious, brooding character,” said Hood. “Comparatively, this show is very light and funny and a full 180 degrees from what it was last year.”
However, despite the change in genres from last year, Hood has had a great time creating this new production. “Some of my best friends I've met and spent my time with through the plays,” he said.
Hood is excited for the audience to experience this production, as it is like nothing he has seen before. There is a mystery for viewers to uncover, which he thinks will keep them very engaged. “I think there are a lot of fun red herrings and clues that will interest the audience and keep them wondering who really did it,” said Hood.
Tickets are available online and at the door. They are priced at $10.00 for students and senior citizens and $12.00 for adults.
