The leaders and trustees of Plainfield Community School Corporation have taken many steps to stay abreast of school safety issues, and we continue to make improvements to support our number one priority, the safety of our students and staff. We meet or surpass all state requirements in this area.

Our students practice safety drills of all types, and our schools have been equipped with state-of-the-art security systems. We have great partnerships with local public safety officials, and we staff the middle and high schools with a full-time School Resource Officer. Two additional policemen, as well as two former school administrators, spend time in each of the elementary buildings every day, providing an extra layer of security.
