"HOOOONK!"
"WEE-OO WEE-OO"
"WAAAW WAAAW"
"PSSHHHHH"
"BEEP BEEP BEEP"
"CLANK CLANK"
Those sounds–plus the giggles and excited shrieks of more than 130 students–filled the air today at Brentwood.
Today, first graders at Brentwood and Clarks Creek had their “See The Street–Transportation Day” where a smorgasbord of different vehicles were showing off.
This event had everything:
SWAT team vehicle? Check.
Book bike from the Plainfield - Guilford Township Public Library? Check.
Slingshot? Check.
Food trucks giving out popcorn or shaved ice? Check.
A dance off between the Chik-Fil-A Cow and Rowdie from the Indianapolis Indians? Check.
Tons of vehicles from the Town of Plainfield Department of Public Works, Plainfield Police Department, Plainfield Fire Territory, and more? Check. Check. Check.
Students have been learning about all of the different types and modes of transportation, so this is always a favorite activity each year as they get the opportunity to climb into a truck, honk the horn, put on a hard hat, and so much more!
