At the end of September, our multilingual and English-learning students and their families were invited to Family Night, which took place at PCMS’ Idea Lab.
Families had the opportunity to mingle with each other, while also receiving tutorials on some of Plainfield Schools’ most-used programs, like Parent Square, PowerSchool, Google Classroom, Clever, Lexia and more.
There were representatives present from the Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library, Adult High School Equivalency and Adult English Classes and Made @ Plainfield.
Additionally, foreign language students from PHS and National Junior Honor Society members from PCMS were there to assist, help with questions, paint faces, play games, get treats from The Tiffin Box, and more!
With over 600 Plainfield Schools students being multilingual and English-learning, events like this help these students and their families feel a sense of belonging in the school community. We are lucky to have such a diverse community in Plainfield!
