The 2022 Teacher of the Year process is underway in Plainfield, and last evening the four elementary schools made their selection. After Spring Break, those four elementary teachers will be narrowed down to one, who will then compete with the PCMS and PHS Teacher of the Year. And a few weeks later, we will learn who will represent Plainfield Community Schools in the statewide Teacher of the Year selection.
Brentwood: Brandy Prather, Kindergarten
Central: Courtney Carmichael, 2nd Grade
Clarks Creek: Karisa Schwanekamp, 4th Grade
Van Buren: Angela Ash, Kindergarten
Earlier today, Mr. Olinger visited each teacher in her classroom to share the big news and to encourage the students to join him in celebrating this special accomplishment.
